A Brief Biography:
My work is strongly influenced by the urban landscapes where I live, the rural landscapes where I grew up and the landscapes of places I have traveled. I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and received my B.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I have been awarded a number of artists' residencies over the years which have given me the opportunity to focus my attention on my art work, while allowing me to keep my day job. I have spent the past 28 years working in academic libraries at Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas. Other awards I have received include a Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant in 2000. I have been represented by Groveland Gallery since 1984.
