A Brief Biography:

Dani Roach, courtesy of Roxann Reisdorf

My work is strongly influenced by the urban landscapes where I live, the rural landscapes where I grew up, and the landscapes of places I have traveled. I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin, earned my B.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and have lived in Minneapolis since 1980. I have been awarded a number of artists' residencies over the years which gave me time to focus on my painting while vacationing from work. Concurrent with my artistic pursuits, I worked in academic libraries for over 40 years -- most of them spent at Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas. I have been represented by Groveland Gallery since 1984.
