A Brief Biography:

Dani Roach, courtesy of Roxann Reisdorf

My work is strongly influenced by the urban landscapes where I live, the rural landscapes where I grew up, and the landscapes of places I have traveled. I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin, earned my B.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and have lived in Minneapolis since 1980. I have been awarded a number of artists' residencies over the years which have given me time to focus on my art work while vacationing from my day job. Concurrent with my artistic pursuits, I've worked in academic libraries for over 35 years -- most of them spent at Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas. I have been represented by Groveland Gallery since 1984.
