A Brief Biography:
My work is strongly influenced by the urban landscapes where I live, the rural landscapes where I grew up and the landscapes of places I have traveled. I was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and received my B.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I have been awarded several artists' residencies over the past seven years which have given me the opportunity to focus my attention on my art work, while allowing me to keep my day job. I have spent the past 25 years working in academic libraries at Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas. Other awards I have received include a Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant in 2000. I have been represented by Groveland Gallery since 1984.
